Specialty Court Graduations
In the span of one week, three of our Court's specialty dockets held graduation ceremonies.
On Thursday, June 17, seven people completed the Recovery Court program overseen by Judge Joan Synenberg (top). Recovery Court assists people who have a dual diagnoses of addiction and related trauma.
On Tuesday, June 22, Judge John J. Russo handed out certificates and challenge coins to seven graduates of Veterans Treatment Court (middle). VTC's goal is to successfully rehabilitate veterans by diverting them from the traditional criminal justice system, and providing them with the unique tools they need.
Then, on Wednesday, June 23, the two Drug Courts held a joint graduation for 14 people (bottom). Nine completed the docket under Judge Nancy R. McDonnell and five were from Judge David Matia's docket, which includes medically assisted treatment.
