Jury Room Renovations

Jury Room Renovations

Beginning Monday, April 28, the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court will begin a renovation of its jury assembly room on the 4th floor of the Justice Center. For the duration of the project, part of the 4th floor cafeteria will be used for jury assembly.

“This project has been in the planning stages for quite some time,” says Administrative and Presiding Judge Brendan J. Sheehan. “When it is complete, the jury assembly room will be more welcoming and modern and have better charging and Wi-Fi access for the public. We are excited to be undertaking this long-overdue upgrade.”

During the project, which is expected to take several months, signage will be in place letting jurors know of the temporary location of the assembly room.

The vending machines housed at the entrance to the current jury assembly room will be moved to a hallway near the 4th floor cafeteria.

“This project is primarily funded by money collected from court fees and will not be an additional burden on the taxpayers,” says Court Administrator Greg Popovich. “Our jurors are the backbone of the justice system, and we want their experience to be as positive as we can make it.”
