Judge Carl. J. Mazzone Takes Office

Judge Carl J. Mazzone has joined the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas General Division Bench.
Judge Mazzone was elected in November to a six-year term that starts January 6, 2025. He succeeds Judge Daniel Gaul, who retired.
A graduate of St. Edward High School and the University of Dayton, Judge Mazzone received his law degree from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2010. Prior to joining the General Division, Judge Mazzone served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney at the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office, where he prosecuted homicide and sexual assault cases in the Major Trial Unit.
Judge Mazzone is temporarily in courtroom 17-A. He will move to courtroom 23-A on January 8.
